  • June 21st: Seeking Spirit Sunday, Join us as we explore the relationship between seeking spirit and values at significant moments in history, as seen in historical writing for young people, and sing together with Hannah Jeffery.

  • June 28th: Join Pastor Rachel and the musical leadership of Annemieke McLane in a exploration of the Parable of the Good Samaritan and how it’s message speaks to us today.

  • Friday 6/26 concert 7pm: Beethoven take II, for the ones who missed it this winter or want to re-listen: Sonatas.. Pathetique, Moonlight, Tempest.. by Annemieke McLane. The concert is by donation to support the Manheim Fund and mission work.

  • Saturday, June 27th 9am-12pm Church Work Day! Join us for a fun work day around the church as we clean, organize and tackle projects that steward our shared spaces! All are welcome. 

  • Sunday, June 28th 2-3pm Monthly Bible Study Meeting: For June we will be reading and discussing the LGBTQ+ Affirmation/Inclusion chapter of Awaken by Caleb Lines. (see more below)

  • Tuesday, June 30th 7-8:30pm Spiritual Book Club: Join us as we discuss the 2nd half of Becoming Kin by Patty Krawec at the Morrill Library. (see more below) 

  • Saturday, July 4th 11am-2pm: Join us on the Strafford green for Strafford’s 4th of July festivities. Our tent offers shade, conversational starters and free healthy snacks. Stop by and say hello!

You are invited to explore the Bible’s connection to our modern lives through a new monthly study.

We will be walking together through  Awakened: A 52-Week Progressive Christian Devotional by Rev. Dr. Caleb Lines.

This devotional explores 13 vital themes—including LGBTQ+ inclusion, eco-spirituality, and mental health—fusing scripture with social justice. We’ll kick off with April’s theme of eco-spirituality, meeting monthly to reflect, ask questions, and support one another.

  • When: 4th Sunday of every month, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

  • Where: Hybrid (In-person at the church office or online via Zoom)

The themes for the year will be each chapter: If there are certain months you can join and not others, follow along as you are led. I had to change a few of the dates due to my family's travels, the rummage sale and holidays.

Spiritual Book Group

Join us for the launch of a new Spiritual Book Group, meeting the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Our inaugural meeting takes place Tuesday, May 26, at 7:00 PM at the Morrill Memorial & Harris Library.

For our first two sessions, we will dive into Becoming Kin: An Indigenous Call to Unforgetting the Past and Reimagining Our Future by Patty Krawec.

  • May 26 Meeting: Discussing the first half of the book.

  • June 30 Meeting: Discussing the second half of the book.

  • Book Access: Interlibrary Loan (ILL) copies are available through the library. 

All perspectives and spiritual paths are welcome. Please come having read the first half of the book for our May session!
