  • Sunday, November 1st- Seeing Spirit Sunday- Anna Alden will share about her work with the Evergreen Singers, a hospice choir of the Upper Valley with music by Anna and Erik Reiminas.

  • Sunday, November 8th- Story Sunday- A Table of Abundance: Generosity is not a chore or a duty; it is a joyful response to a beautiful world. When we practice gratitude, we realize our lives are already full of treasures meant to be shared. Join us in this intentionally intergenerational worship as we explore the stories around us through song, story, puppetry and ritual. –with Bill Harley, musician.

  • October 25th: Bible Study Group 2-3pm: We will be discussing the devotional chapters in the section “Embracing Change” in Awakened: A 52-Week Progressive Christian Devotional‍ ‍by Rev. Dr. Caleb Lines.

  • November 7th, 6:30pm: Family Concert! Grammy winning singer, song writer and storyteller, Bill Harley will perform at UCS on Saturday, November 7th at 6:30pm. The concert is free and open to the public, donations appreciated.

  • November 20th, 7pm: Concert! Bach & Baroque..Music by Couperin, Handel, J.S. Bach and more, piano solo Annemieke McLane. Moments of reflection and joy in stick season.

  • December 11th, 7pm Concert! NOEL, with Julie Ness, Becky Tracy, Jeremiah McLane, Annemieke McLane. Peace, Love, Joy and Hope in a 'cross over' program of traditional music, own compositions, own arrangements and classics entering the Holidays.

You are invited to explore the Bible’s connection to our modern lives through a new monthly study.

We will be walking together through  Awakened: A 52-Week Progressive Christian Devotional‍ ‍by Rev. Dr. Caleb Lines.

This devotional explores 13 vital themes—including LGBTQ+ inclusion, eco-spirituality, and mental health—fusing scripture with social justice. We’ll kick off with April’s theme of eco-spirituality, meeting monthly to reflect, ask questions, and support one another.

  • When: 4th Sunday of every month, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

  • Where: Hybrid (In-person at the church office or online via Zoom)

The themes for the year will be each chapter: If there are certain months you can join and not others, follow along as you are led. I had to change a few of the dates due to my family's travels, the rummage sale and holidays.

Open Pages, Open Hearts Book Group

Join us for Open Pages, Open Hearts a book group exploring diverse spiritual writings, meeting the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Our next meeting takes place Tuesday, September 29th, at 7:00 PM at the Morrill Memorial & Harris Library.

For our August and September meetings, we will read See No Stranger: A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love by Valarie Kaur.

  • August 25 Meeting: Discussing the first half of the book.

  • September 29 Meeting: Discussing the second half of the book.

  • Book Access: Interlibrary Loan (ILL) copies are available through the library at the beginning of August. 

All perspectives and spiritual paths are welcome. Please come having read the whole book for our September session!
