Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a beautiful open space, ideal for concerts, recitals, performances readings, weddings, funerals and other formal events.  Food is not allowed in the Sanctuary. 

Parish Hall

At this time the Parish Hall is being rented by the Strafford Creative Nursery. Their materials reside in the space even on the weekend. Minimal use of the kitchen and Parish Hall on the weekends is available with agreement to not disturb the nursery’s materials.

Library

The Library is available for committee meetings, small groups and discussion. This space has a large central table and surrounding chairs and is large enough for 6-10 people.

Church Office

The Church Office is available for small groups, one-to-one meetings, and private work time. This space can hold 4-6 people comfortably.

Building Use Rental Process & Fees

Building Use Fees help cover the many expenses of operating the building, such as heat, water, sewer, plowing, custodial care and other expenses incurred through use of the space. Therefore, most non-church events must help cover these expenses, through the payment of the fees or through donations. The Trustees are willing to consider modifying the applicable fee for special circumstances.

Building Use Policy and Procedures

To check availability and fees, please contact the Church Trustees at info@unitedchurchofstrafford.com. A designated Trustee will discuss your space requirements, review applicable fees, and manage scheduling. For specific questions regarding our policies or fee structure, please consult the Trustees directly.

Usage Categories & Fees

  • Church Groups & Members: No fee is charged for activities that do not require an admission fee. Donations are welcomed.

  • External Groups & Non-Members: Standard building use fees apply.

  • Co-Sponsored Events (No Admission): For events co-hosted by a church group and an outside entity, we suggest a donation. Typically, 50% of proceeds (up to the standard rental rate) are allocated to the church.

  • Co-Sponsored Events (With Admission): If admission is charged, the standard building use fee schedule applies regardless of sponsorship.

Usage Guidelines

  • Mission Alignment: Permission to use church property is granted to individuals and groups whose activities and principles align with the mission of this Church.

  • Restrictions: We do not host partisan political groups.

  • Alcohol: The use of alcohol is strictly prohibited anywhere on church premises.

  • Firearms: The carry and use of firearms is strictly prohibited anywhere on church premises.
